The first time we went to New Orleans was actually four days after Hurricane Gustav and Oak Alley was closed for clean-up. It's about an hour drive (maybe a little longer) outside of the city to get to it. It's well-worth the trip though. We're going back for New Years, but won't have time to go to anymore plantations. They have two macros and this is actually the cheaper of the two. I found it on eBay for $180 with free shipping, so I thought it was a pretty good deal and couldn't pass it up. My husband was like "Why didn't you buy that one a long time ago?!" The colors come out great with this lens. I love it. I have an Olympus, so I pretty much have to use Olympus lenses only.
